I believe that becoming healthy and staying healthy is a lifelong pursuit. Most of us get over enthusiastic and tend to try to make multiple changes to our current lifestyle all at one time. The result is that before long we find ourselves back to where we started with without realizing why. This is in part due to the fact that we have not learned to adapt to the changes we’ve made.
Change takes time and understanding. No one is going to become healthy overnight. I know as I have been on a continual journey for 35 plus years. Treat it like a journey rather than focusing only on the end result. Take baby steps. Remember to breathe. Give yourself a pat on the back for all the great things you’ve done rather than focusing on those you have yet to do. Be kind to yourself. Laugh. Be playful. Be forgiving and mostly have fun!
